RESEARCH
PROCESS
1. Create a formwork out of the disassembled “aid” palette. I placed wood planks in a way that intentionally retained dust marks left from the original form of the palette. By creating a timber base I hope to provide structure and texture to the concrete.
2. Place formwork central to the tarps, a flooring reference within an IDP or Refugee tent. The bottom tarp will be used to put the concrete and formwork around. the second tarp will be fixed around the timber if the concrete breaches the mylar membrane. I lay each tarp perpendicular as a reference to the first aid cross or the western symbol for a hospital. A place that has been breached by the IDF and is a war crime according to the UN.
3. Insert the Mylar cross directionally in the same manner as the tarp emulating the same symbols and facilitating consistent coverage as the shock blanket is a regtangular form.
4. Insert components of the birdcage in place of re-enforcment steel.
4. Fold the tarp up and screw into the top of the formwork. Roll the tarp and the shock blankets up and place concrete rocks on each corner to keep it in place.
5. Mix and pour concrete. x 5 trips
5. Remove reo and replace with the two arched “tablets”. The reference is to the 10 commandments.

CRITS
Osvaldo: Loved the arrangement I made with the installation, prefers it to his suggestion and agrees it should be kept on the wall. Get a piece of photo paper and place it into the concrete. See what the Alkaline does to it.
Annelies: Agrees that pursuing the floor arrangement is a better outcome than trying to put it on the wall.
